We traveled to a small mountain town called Idyllwild in Southern California. Idyllwild is a gorgeous town and very much worth the drive to spend a day soaking up their mountain culture.
We stopped in to several local shops and all the people were very friendly and welcoming to us. We entered one of their local galleries, Acorn Gallery and met the owner and photographer, George Baker. He has a collection of photos from Idyllwild, California that are simply breathtaking.
We then stopped in for lunch at The Greek Place.
My daughter, Jessica, and I ordered their Gyros made with beef slices (beef and lamb mix), Tzatziki sauce, tomatoes, and red onion. With Greek style fries (feta cheese, olive oil, and herbs)that I can say boldly is included in my top ten meals I have ever had.
We look forward to visiting Idyllwild, California again. There are many shops and restaurants to choose from.
On our way back down the mountain we stopped to capture some of the beautiful views of these gorgeous mountains.
